![]() progress Unfortunately, Banished offers you only addictive gameplay and boring waiting :( I will look forward to the mods to this game, but until then.I will stop playing. Many possibilites to build whatever you wantĮxplore very complicated tech trees (hello, DF)Īdvance in overall tech. ![]() This got really boring, when in order to grow I needed just to make a mundane expansion of the area (same old marketplace, houses, chapel, etc.) The second town (small, mountains, hard, harsh, disasters) was really challenging because of mountaious terrain, but again, you can manage to get it stable around 100 citizens and just stop looking after it for 20 years or so (it will do fine without you).Īt the point, where you reach some sort of "climax" in your development, many games offer different mechanics to keep you interested: My first town (hard, valleys, distasters, harsh) had fixed population around 300+ for a long period of time, overstock and overproduction on all resources (so after two distasters: tornado and fire, which have nearly destroyed everything, I've recovered with no problem). It is highly interesting at the beginning, very challenging and new, and even gets addictive at some point, but once you've achieved stability (or stable growth), there is nothing more to do, but just to sit and wait for nothing. After playing this game a whole lot I can make my verdict: it's boring.
